What Watchdog checks, every day
- Downtime: does your homepage load? If it doesn't, we try again 2 minutes later before we email you, so one hiccup doesn't wake you up.
- Tap-to-call phone: if your homepage shows a phone number, can a visitor on a phone tap it to call? We tell you if it stops working.
- Mobile slowdown: we run Google's own PageSpeed mobile test twice and keep the better result. You only hear from us when your site is clearly slower than its own normal (50% slower and at least 1.5 seconds, measured against your last 7 days) and over Google's 2.5-second "good" mark.
Still broken a week later? One reminder, not daily nagging. When it's fixed, you get one "fixed" email.
When something breaks
Every alert tells you what changed and how we measured it. For a slowdown or a broken phone link, you can fix it yourself, ask your web person, or have us do it with the $99 Website Fix Pilot (up to 3 homepage fixes, backup first, before/after report). Downtime is almost always your web host, so we tell you that too.
What it doesn't do
Watchdog checks your homepage once a day. It isn't minute-by-minute server monitoring, and it doesn't change anything on your site. No ranking, traffic or sales promises.
